Chef Nick Shinton is driven by a genuine passion for food and a commitment to delivering memorable experiences to each and every guest. Shinton believe the true value of food comes from the healing and bonding power of sharing a meal with friends and family.
After graduating from Johnson & Wales University’s renowned culinary program, Chef Shinton began his career as executive chef at Optimal Nutrition, Inc. in San Diego, where he focused on creating highly nutritional and customized meals for a variety of national and local athletes. Before his move to JRDN, he worked as executive Chef at Truluck’s in La Jolla. During his time at Truluck’s, he earned the title of San Diego Magazine’s “Best of the Best” for three consecutive years.
